Comments:
This story is continued from Wanderers #1 and continues in Wanderers #3.

Synopsis:
A hunter sent by the Controllers has located the space station where Clonus has recreated the Wanderers. The team barely escapes the station before the hunter can catch them. They take Clonus with them and a pyramid which stores the knowledge of the original Clonus. However, Clonus is injured during the escape. To save his consciousness, the Wanderers transfer his mind into the ship's computer.

Meanwhile one of the strange crystals found with the bodies of the original Wanderers breaks open. A hatchling emerges and enters the head of the Controller hunter. Pysche also has one of the crystals with her which she keeps secret from the others.

The Wanderers are unable to crack the code from the data pyramid, so they are can't determine what the original Clonus was doing for the last three years. However, the pyramid does contain a record of his journey. The team begins to pick up that journey from where it began on an alien planet.

The Wanderers arrive on the planet where people gather around a perfomer at a sensorium where mental images and feelings are projected to the audience. The members of the team, except Psyche participate in a performance, but they do not find the answers they seek. At the next performance, the Wanderers return. They are attacked by the crowd who is driven into a frenzy by the performer who has one of the crystal hatchlings in his head.

Aviax returns to the Wanderers' ship where he finds that Psyche has also been infested by one of the creatures which has hatched from the crystal she kept.
