Synopsis:
Orion awakens on Apokolips after being teleported by Darkseid's omega beams. He finds himself in the company of the Dreggs and a man in a golden mask. The man tell him the history of the old gods. From their downfall Apokolips and New Genesis were created. As the history lesson continues, the man tells the story of the pact which sent Orion to be raised on New Genesis. The man mentions Orion's mother Tiggra. Orion then interrupts the tale and storms off to find his mother.
Darkseid watches as Orion searches the depths of Apokolips for his mother's location. He dispatches Kalibak to fight him. Orion prevails, then continues his quest.
On New Genesis, Highfather summons Lightray. He is dealing with a crisis of faith as the Commander has been sowing the seeds of discord with Izaya's rule.
