Comments:
This story is continued from Hawkworld #2.
Synopsis:
Hawkman pursues Byth's gang after they abduct Mavis Trent. Byth abandons the gang and flees. Hawkwoman comes to her partner's aid. The confrontation leads to a shootout. The gang members are killed, and Hawkman rescues Mavis.
Following the incident, civil rights leaders protest the use of deadly force by Hawkman and Hawkwoman who have no official standing. Hawkman is given the Declaration of Independence, the Constituion, and the Bill of Rights to read. The documents shock him and outrage Hawkwoman.
