Synopsis:
Oliver Queen has his fortune read at a charity bazaar put on by L.T. Morse. The fortune given by Merlin the Magician indicates that Oliver will kill his best friend with an arrow within 24 hours. At first Oliver dismisses the prophecy as ridiculous, but a near miss while chasing some crooks makes a believer out of G.A.

G.A. returns to Morse’s estate and learns that the fortune teller was never hired and has disappeared, unseen by anyone. Green Arrow decides not to use a bow the rest of the day just in case. He instead uses a rifle which simulates the effects of his trick arrows. Once the 24 hours is almost up Green Arrow puts down the gun which sets off his crossbow. The bolt strikes a Roy Harper dummy in the chest fulfilling Merlin’s prophecy.
