Synopsis:
Henpecked husband Charlie Cuddy sees a newspaper ad promising the remove nuisances. Charlie answers the ad placed by Mr. Scratch and receives an inflatable crocodile. He is told to place in the pool before his wife goes swimming. The Phantom Stranger warns Charlie to return the crocodile, but it is too late.

Charlie puts the crocodile in the pool, and the next day his wife is discovered to have drowned. Following her death, Charlie puts the crocodile in storage. Time passes. Charlie enjoys his new life without his wife. When he hosts a party, Charlie's friends find the crocodile and put it in the pool. Later, when Charlie goes swimming, he too is killed.
