Comments:
This story takes place prior to Superman #34.

Synopsis:
The clones of the Newsboy Legion sneak out of the Cadmus Project using the ventilation shaft. Gabby falls down a shute and finds himself in an underground river. He pulls himself out of the river. Gabby then encounters Dabney Donovan, one of the Cadmus founders who went mad and is believed to be dead. Donovan has been creating his own monsters. Gabby escapes and reunites with the others, who were caught by the Guardian. No one believes Gabby when he tells them what he found in the tunnels.
