Synopsis:
Small town composer Jimmy Royce comes to Metropolis hoping to strike it big. When he arrives, two men attempt to mug him. Superman arrives in time to save and befriend Jimmy. Later, Jimmy tries to unsuccessfully sell his songs to a publisher. Wilbur Wolfingham also tries to take advantage of Jimmy by claiming to be a famous agent. Superman interrupts Wolfingham's plan, but Jimmy is still unsuccessful.

Finally, Jimmy's neighbor Doris Dawson overhears one of Jimmy's songs. She is impressed and brings the songs to her boss, music mogul Georgie Cummings. Superman has to get involved again to insure that Cummings will listen, but Jimmy is finally a success.

Jimmy then intends to return home to his girl Sue. However, Sue is exposed as a two-timer. Jimmy then realizes that he likes Doris anyway. She also likes him, so they get married, and Jimmy dedicates his first hit to Superman.
