Synopsis:
Small-time crook Dan the Dunce loses his job as a boxer. At the doctor's office he sees an article about a new sedative created by Dr. Paul Laverne. Dan doesn't understand the words he reads and concludes that the sedative will give him super-strength.

Dan visits Laverne's lab and attempts to steal the sedative. He drinks half of a bottle, then Superman arrives. Dan is knocked out and dreams that the sedative gives him super-strength. In his dream he defeats Superman and attempts to win the affection of Lois Lane. Superman returns for another fight, but with Lois around, Dan is unable to fight back.

Dan then awakens in Laverne's lab. He realizes that his defeat of Superman was only a dream. He is then arrested for robbing Laverne and put in jail.
