Synopsis:
Wartime pilot Eddie Brand takes a plane of his own design on a test flight. The plane crashes. As a result of the accident, Eddie gains X-ray vision. Eddie soon becomes a pariah, as his friends believe his new power will reveal their secrets.

Eddie turns to crime, using his X-ray vision to aid in robberies. When Batman tries to stop him, Eddie uses his vision to see through Batman's mask. Eddie threatens to reveal Batman's face to the world, but Batman persists in pursuing Eddie anyway. Batman eventually traps Eddie and doctors are able to cure him. Batman's unmasked picture is still released to the public, but fortunately Batman was wearing make-up to disguise his features.
