This story is continued from Lobo #2 and continues in Lobo #4.

Synopsis:
Vril Dox has arranged for Lobo to transport Miss Tribb to Cairn, but he has disappeared. Several factions have massed forces in pursuit. Lobo was diverted by the Orthography Commandos who force him to participate in a spelling bee. Any contestant who fails to spell a word correctly is murdered. When the judges discover that Lobo has abused Miss Tribb including cutting off her legs to prevent her escape, they try to kill him. However, Lobo breaks loose and kills them. He then tells Dox that he is taking a vacation before resuming the transport to Cairn. The amassed factions change their courses and head to Revel-7 to find Lobo.
