While fighting a gang of crooks Batman receives a head wound. A nearby doctor checks him out and treats the injury. Over the next few nights, Batman leaves the house and commits robberies. In the morning his recollections of the robberies are just dreams. Robin stops him from committing another robbery and wakes him from a trance. Batman then returns to the doctor, who explains that there is no treatment. He recommends that Batman turn himself in for the robberies. Instead Batman exposes the doctor as Spade Stinson. Stinson had given Batman pills that caused his criminal behavior. When he stops taking the pills, Batman is able to sleep normally.
