Synopsis:
One day the residents of Gotham City are shocked when they see Robin operating alone. The Bat-Signal has been changed to the Robin-Signal, and the Batmobile has become the Robinmobile. Robin refuses comment, but many speculate that Batman has been killed.

Gangsters Pack Purdy and John Vair planned a trap for Batman. Vair was to run Batman and the Batmobile off the road. However, Vair failed. Batman captured the crook and took his place in order to learn Purdy's plan. When Purdy is convinced that Batman is dead, he reveals his plan to the Dark Knight in his Vair disguise. Batman is then able to stop the crime with Robin. After Purdy is apprehended, Batman publicly returns.
