Synopsis:
Police apprehend suspected smuggler Dr. Doom at the harbor. Batman locates stolen jewels hidden inside Doom's artifacts. Rather than allow himself to be captured, Doom jumps into the water and fails to surface. He is presumed dead, but the crook is able to breathe through a concealing air tube.
When Batman and the police relax their guard, Dr. Doom returns to the surface and hides inside a sarcophogus. Batman takes the coffin back to the Bat-Cave as a trophy. Later, Dr. Doom exits the coffin, but is unable to escape the locked trophy room. Instead, he sets up the other trophies as death traps for Batman.
When an alarm in the Bat-Cave sounds, Batman and Robin rush to the trophy room, but Dr. Doom remains hidden. They manage to avoid the death traps and corner the smuggler. Doom throws a grenade at them and takes cover in the coffin. Batman survives the blast, but is unable to get Dr. Doom out of the coffin before his air runs out.
