Synopsis:
Hal Jordan finds himself in deep space. His mind has been purged of knowledge that he is Green Lantern. However, he eventually is able to restore his own memories and return to Earth.

He seeks out Carol Ferris and is shocked to find her as Star Sapphire again. Sinestro then reveals himself and explains that he gave her the sapphire gem. The two villains attack. Green Lantern is quickly defeated when his power ring runs out of power.

Sinestro plans to eliminate GL, but Star Sapphire will not allow the alien to kill him. While the two villains fight, Green Lantern tries to crawl to safety. Tom Kalmaku brings him his power battery and gets him to recharge the power ring. Green Lantern then defeats Star Sapphire and forces Sinestro to retreat.

Following the battle, Green Lantern tells Carol Ferris that she is Star Sapphire. Carol is shocked by the revelation and refuses to believe it. She runs away, and GL lets her go.
