This story claims that Bruce Wayne bought Wayne Manor after he became Batman. Later stories contradict this account of events.
Synopsis:
When Batman and Robin discover a 300-year old piece of indian pottery in the Bat-Cave, they ask Professor Nichols to send them back in time to discover the story behind it.
In the past, they meet frontiesrman Jeremy Coe, who works as a spy against the indians. Coe uses the Bat-Cave as his secret hide-out. Batman builds several conveniences into the cave, such as a winch to bring in Coe's horse and a primitive crime lab.
Coe is injured, so Batman replaces him as a spy on the indians. When his cover is blown he signals Robin with smoke signals. The indians follow them and discover the Bat-Cave. The Dynamic Duo and Coe escape, but Batman's improvements to the cave are destroyed. Coe returns to Fort George to report on the indian activity. Batman and Robin return to their own time.
