Synopsis:
When Batman and Robin pursue a masked crook and his gang, Batman injures his ankle. The masked crook discards his mask, then strikes his head. Robin catches him with Batwoman nearby. Batwoman sees the soot on the crook's face and assumes he is Batman. With the real Batman injured, Robin plays along. The crook, Curt Briggs, has amnesia from the head wound, so he too is convinced that he is Batman.

Robin and Batwoman help Briggs back to Kathy's Batcavern. She trains him to fight crime, while Robin gets a clue to the gangs' next crime. The trio then intercepts the crooks. The crooks getaway when Briggs is imperiled, forcing Robin and Batwoman to protect him.

Briggs eventually regains his memory and leads his trainers into a trap. The real Batman arrives despite his injury and rescues them. The crooks, including Briggs, are apprehended, and Batman's secret identity is safe.
