Synopsis:
Clarence Pierce, a classmate of Dick Grayson, aspires to become a crime fighter like Robin. He creates a costume for himself and a device which allows him to ride on telephone wires. Naming himself Wireboy, Clarence tries to become a crimefighter.

Wireboy succeeds in capturing a trio of jewel thieves on his first night out, but he soon becomes a problem for Robin by interrupting cases. Robin tries to learn his rival's secret identity, and Clarence does the same. Robin outsmarts Clarence and learns his secret. He then convinces the boy to give up crimefighting after saving Wireboy from a bomb.
