Comments:
As revealed in Justice League of America #17, the Tornado Tyrant becomes the Tornado Champion. The Champion and a newly formed Tyrant join together to form Red Tornado as revealed in Justice League of America #193.

Synopsis:
Adam Strange is teleported to the planet Xalthor by Ulthoon, an evil scientist. Ulthoon leaves Adam to perish as the planet is being destroyed. With Adam gone, the villain plans to conquer Rann.

Adam stays alive long enough to catch the Zeta-Beam to Rann just before Xalthor explodes. Once on Rann he tries to stop Ulthoon. His foe is using a flying machine to generate a devastating tornado. After failing to stop Ulthoon, Adam realizes the scientist is an illusion created by the tornado, and the tornado itself is the real villain. Armed with this knowledge, Adam is able to rally the Ranagarans and defeat the Tornado Tyrant.
