Synopsis:
Homer Glint contacts his two rivals an invites them to help him investigate a space island he had found. Each adventurer lands on the island and soon find themselves involved in a competition uniquely suited to their individual abilities. After defeating their competition, they reunite and compare stories. Each agrees that the island is a paradise.

Suddenly, the island itself begins communicating with them. The island explains that it feeds off competitive energy and intends to keep them on the planet permanently. A mental block prevents them from launching their ships to escape, so Karel invites her rivals to her rental ship, which returns automatically home when the rental time expires. Once free, they decide to place warnings around the island to prevent others from being trapped there.
