History:
Wyynde was born around 45,000 years ago in the land of the Khe-Wannantu, a people who greatly resembled in their appearance and their culture the American indians of later centuries. Wyynde's father, Sh'roco, was the dhonu, or king of the Khe-Wannantu.

Wyynde did not wish to sacrifice his freedom someday in order to become dhonu himself and so, as a boy, he fled Khe-Wannantu. Wyynde eventually became a soldier for the City of the Golden Gate in Atlantis.

Wyynde was a member of an Atlantean patrol led by Lady Chian that clashed with a group of primitive "Sub-men". Wyynde was wounded by the Sub-men's arrows and became separated from the rest of his patrol. He became lost in the snow-covered wilderness, and the glare from the snow rendered him blind.

Wyynde was willing to give himself up to death when he was mentally contacted by the sorcerer Caculha, who guided him in finding a blood-red gem. 100,000 years before, Caculha's son Ahri'ahn had been transformed into pure energy, which Caculha had gathered into the form of the gem. Now Caculha instructed the blind Wyynde to climb an ancient pyramid and set the gem on its summit. When Wyynde did so, Ahri'ahn regained human form, and Wyynde's blindness was cured. Misunderstanding what Ahri'ahn's name was, Wyynde called him Arion, the name that the reborn sorcerer used in his new incarnation.

Wyynde became one of Arion's closest allies, and was romantically pursued by the shape-changer Mara.

Upon the death of Sh'roco, Wyynde returned to the Khe-Wannantu to become their new dhonu. He married one of the Khe-Wannantu, Fawndancer, who had been pledged to him before her birth.

But soon afterwards, the land of the Khe-Wannantu was sunk beneath the sea by Arion's evil brother Garn Daanuth. The only survivors of the Khe-Wannantu were Wyynde, his brother Nightfire, and Fawndancer, who was transformed into a creature of the sea.

Wyynde's grief, combined with the strain on his mind when Garn Daanuth temporarily took control of it, caused Wyynde to withdraw from reality mentally for a time. Later, Wyynde was genetically altered into a beast-man. But Arion succeeded in restoring Wyynde to his true form, and Wyynde was once more in good mental condition.

Wyynde survived the sinking of the City of the Golden Gate. Some years afterwards, however, a restless Wyynde led an expedition that never returned. The exact circumstances of his death are as yet unknown.

Powers:
Wyynde has no superhuman powers, but was a highly formidable hand-to-hand combatant. He was superbly skilled in using the sword, the bow and arrow, the hand-held blaster, and other weapons.
