Synopsis:
Rip Hunter travels back in time to retrieve history's most beautiful women to compete in a beauty pageant. Rip gathers Helen of Troy, Cleopatra, Theodora, and Scheherazade from their respective eras. The women fight inside the Time Sphere causing them to make an unscheduled stop in France, where Rip helps an ugly French girl named Marie. Marie then accompanies them back to the present for the pageant.

The contest begins. The movie producer responsible for the contest has bribed the judges to vote for the star of his movie Liz Traymore. Before the final judging, Scheherazade uses a magic powder, intending to give herself magical beauty. A sudden wind causes the powder to land on Marie. Marie suddenly becomes dazzling in the eyes of the judges, so they vote her the winner. Rip then returns the girls to their own time periods.
