Synopsis:
Using supernatural powers, a serial killer named Kranik escapes from prison just before his scheduled execution. When Kranik attacks a woman on the street, the Spectre who now shares a body with Jim Corrigan, goes into action to stop him. However, the supernatural force which possesses the killer injures the Spectre. He reverts to the form of Corrigan who then shoots Kranik to death with his sidearm.
Pete Quarrel brings Corrigan in for questioning, though he is already aware of Jim's connection to the Spectre. The press picks up the story when Kranik's intended victim describes the fight between demons. Jim then receives added attention from clients who have supernatural problems, a mysterious man named Zoran, and reporter Gina Sayles.
