Synopsis:
Enemy Ace is pursued by a French plane. During the chase, he spots a British bomber. He changes course to shoot down the bomber. He then exchanges fire with the French plane. Although wounded, the Enemy Ace prevails. On his way back to the airfield he crosses path with a French ace known as the Hangman. However, the Hangman signals that his guns are empty, so the two pilots let the other go.
When he lands, Von Hammer is taken to the hospital. He receives care from a nurse named Gerta. They kiss, then she runs away because she found him to be cold. When a young pilot is then killed by the Hangman, Enemy Ace returns to the skies. The battle with the Hangman takes them near two allied blimps. Enemy Ace shoots them down, but is nearly killed by anti-aircraft fire. He survives and assumes his opponent, the Hangman, did too.
