Synopsis:
Maggie Sawyer contacts Superman to help locate her daughter who has run away from Star City to be with her mother in Metropolis. While he searches the city, Superman encounters a winged child who has been robbing the upper levels of buildings. He captures the child and brings her to the police.
After analyzing the dust found on the child, Superman and Maggie are led to an abandoned church. Inside they find more mutated children including Maggie's daughter Jamie who is about to undergo the mutation. A creature called Skyhook is responsible.
Skyhook sends the children against Superman. He creates a dust storm to temporarily blind them. He then goes after Skyhook who escapes with Jamie. Maggie grabs him as they are lifted in the air. Skyhook drops them from a several hundred feet. Maggie shoots Skyhook, as Superman comes to rescue her and Jamie. Skyhook falls into the estuary and is carried away by the current.
