Krisis of the Krimson Kryptonite Part Four
This story is continued from Action Comics #659.
Clark and Lois become engaged in this story.
Mr. Mxyzptlk is shown in a universe similar to the Marvel Universe where he is a doppelganger of the Impossible Man.
Several DC Comics staffers are depicted in crowd scenes, but they are not identified by name.
Synopsis:
After Clark Kent fails to get a meeting with Lex Luthor, he returns to the Daily Planet to take Lois Lane to lunch. He proposes to Lois. Their conversation is interrupted by a call from Lex Luthor. Clark tells Luthor that he has the Red Kryptonite and agree to a meeting. Clark brings the Kryptonite to Luthor's office and learns that Mxyzptlk was responsible for its creation. By telling Clark, Lex breaks the imp's rules about not telling Superman. As a result, Superman gets his powers back. He then bests Mxyzptlk who grow a giant body from one of Luthor's skin cells.
After the fight, Clark finds Lois at the hospital where she has been visiting with her mother. Lois accepts Clark's proposal, and the couple are officially engaged.
