Synopsis:
Swamp Thing travels to Oregon to track down Edward Holland. After an initial misunderstanding, Swamp Thing reveals that he is Alec Holland, Edward's brother. Edward and his assistant Ruth Monroe then set out to cure Alec by recreating the explosion which turned him into Swamp Thing.
Just as their experiment is about to be complete, Swamp Thing is attacked by Sabre, an agent of the Colossus organization. Sabre is really John Zero, an ex-government agent who once held Swamp Thing as a captive. Zero blames the creature for his own downfall following his escape. The two battle near a swamp. While Zero is nearly burned to death, Swamp Thing is transformed back into Alec Holland.
