Synopsis:
A war begins on Krypton over the rights of clones. One side believes clones should be allowed to live while the other sees them as tools to prolong the lives of Kryptonians. After learning that a clone of Nyra was released from the cloning bank, Van-L and his father return home where they learn that an organization named Black Zero has destroyed Kandor with atomic weapons.
Van-L and his girl friend Vara find themselves on different sides of the issue. Van-L joins the military and is responsible for hunting down Black Zero. During one such raid he finds Vara working with them. She escapes from him, but is then lost in an explosion.
Centuries later Krypton is a wasteland. Van-L, his life obviously still prolonged, returns to the hospital which once housed the cloning banks. He survives inside a Kryptonian warsuit which protects him from the environment. He locates a section with a habitable environment and leaves the safety of his suit for the first time in 100 years. Once outside he meets a group of survivors and is taken to their camp. He informs them that Black Zero is reforming and intends to destroy the entire planet.
