This story is continued from World of Smallville #3.

Synopsis:
Following her arrival in Metropolis, Lana Lang attempted to contact Clark Kent only to hear the news of Superman's debut. Although, she found Clark her Manhunter programming forced her to avoid contact. She then stayed in Metropolis and provided frequent updates to the Manhunters. As a result, Lana became destitute and was forced to become a scavenger on the streets.

Eventually her Manhunter programming failed. She was then able to return to Smallville. The Kents took her into their home because her aunt had died while Lana was away. When Lana regained her health, she returned to her own home. However, the Manhunters found her again. They allowed her to stay in Smallville where she eventually met Clark again shortly after he learned of his Kryptonian heritage.

After Lana and the Kents finish recounting their past, Lana and Clark take a walk. They renew their friendship, then Clark leaves for Metropolis.
