Synopsis:
Clark Kent visits Gotham City. He stops Luthor's men from intimidating residents and destroying their property. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne goes to Metropolis to battle the Joker. Both heroes are successful in stopping their adversaries, but neither is apprehended.
Later Superman attends a holiday party thrown by Oliver Monks. At the party Monks and Luthor reveal a plan to build new orphanages in Gotham and Metropolis. The current orphanage in Midway is then to be turned over to Luthor. Superman stops the deal from being completed. He forces Monks to reveal his involvement with Byron Wylie, the head of a juvenile criminal syndicate. The Joker crashes the party, but Batman is there to stop him. The orphanage then burns down with Wylie and Monks inside. Superman and Batman rescue the orphans and party guests, but the Joker gets away. The Clown Prince stows away in Luthor's limo. Luthor kicks him out and plans to collect on his debt.
