This story, which takes place between March 7 and March 15, 1950, is continued from Blackhawk #15.
Synopsis:
Blackhawk and the Red Dragon return to the airfield. They soon discover the Greg Krellson is a Soviet spy. Krellson, aka Gregor Krell, steals one of the experimental planes. Blackhawk goes after him and both fall from the sky. Blackhawk takes Krell's parachute, letting the Russian fall to his death.
While this is happening, the Red Dragon breaks into Masterson's office and steals file which reveal that the base is only a front for CIA Dreamland operations with mind control. The Blackhawks quit and leave the base, but not before all the experimental aircraft are mysteriously melted into scrap.
The Blackhawks return to Blackhawk Island and cut ties with the CIA, leaving them free agents.
