Synopsis:
The original Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett, has returned. He calls out Ted Kord who faces his former friend in combat. Garrett has been possessed by his magic scarab and will not listen to Ted. A genetically engineered boy with telepathic abilities who has escaped from STAR Labs happens upon the scene. The boy is able to snap Garrett from the Scarab's control. In his resistance, Garrett is killed, and the Scarab is destroyed.
