Synopsis:
The Challengers are overcome by the infected townspeople of Perdition and their leader Heathcliff Monroe. Monroe holds Red and June as hostages and forces Ace and Rocky to travel to Britain to perform a spell. The spell opens a doorway to M'Nagala's dimension and will allow his family to come to Earth. With his friends lives in the balance, Rocky opens the portal. When a creature emerges, Ace detonates an explosive which seals the portal.
Meanwhile, Clayburne recruits Alec Holland to stage a rescue. Holland has been temporarily restored to human form, but he is now slowly reverting into the Swamp Thing. They rescue Prof. who directs them to use sound against the fungus which has infected him and the townspeople. The plan succeeds. The Challengers are rescued. Holland reverts to Swamp Thing and traps M'Nagala inside Monroe's burning church. Swamp Thing then retreats back to the swamps.
