Synopsis:
Boxer Jimmy Maddox falls in love with broadcaster Valerie Lee. With his mind preoccupied on his romantic interests, Maddox is loses a fight. He is in danger of losing a second, but the Sandman speaks to Valerie and gets her to inspire Maddox to victory.
Maddox is then matched against the champ, Tornado Tomkins. His manager Candy Kid Kohler has bet against his fighter and attempted to drug him. The Sandman switches pills, so Maddox is able to win the fight. When Kohler tries again, the Sandman knocks him out and turns him over to the police. After winning the championship, Maddox weds Lee.
