Synopsis:
While investigating asteroid #189, seeking to debunk stories of it being haunted, Space Ranger, Cryll, and Myra all fall victim to the fumes of an alien flower. The fumes cause Cryll to change shape uncontrollably. Space Ranger uses a nerve ray to return him to normal, then they leave the asteroid.

The flower fumes have a delayed reaction on Myra, causing her to tamper with the ship. They make an emergency landing on a planet inhabited by Cat-Men. Myra betrays Space Ranger by turing him over to the Cat-Men for execution and becoming their queen. During the execution, Space Ranger discovers he too was affected by the flowers. They have given him thought power. This allows him to escape and shock Myra back to normal.
