Synopsis:
When a rookie pilot sacrifices himself to an enemy plane, Johnny Cloud is reminded of a prophecy told by the Smoke-Maker. The prophecy foretells that a pilot will sacrifice himself for Johnny in three wars.
Johnny pursues the enemy plane into a cloud and emerges in World War I. A similar situation immediately presents itself and another pilot again sacrifices himself for Johnny. Johnny then goes into a cloud and emerges in the future flying a jet. Again the same situation occurs. This time he follows the other pilot to the ground and shoots down the enemy plane.
Johnny suddenly finds himself back in his own time. He shoots down the enemy plane and rescues his pilot.
