Synopsis:
Jimmy is nominated to join the Ink Ace Club for reporters by Clark Kent. While they review Jimmy’s nomination, Jimmy interviews the inventor of a time carpet. The invention takes Jimmy back in time to 1869, where he becomes a reporter.

Jimmy overcomes the challenges of the era without the aid of modern technologies. He covers the story of two railroad lines merging, but when he turns in the story, he learns that his time trip was a hoax. The trick was perpetrated by the Ink Ace Club and Superman to test Jimmy’s ability. His success in the test earns him membership in the club.
