Comments:
This is the final Idol-Head of Diabolu story.
Synopsis:
J'onn J'onzz and Zook finally locate the Idol-Head of Diabolu just as another menace springs forth in cloud form. J'onn tries to force the cloud back inside the Idol-Head only to be drawn inside the statue himself.
J'onn then finds himself centuries in the past near Babylonia. He protects a group of people from the monster that was emerging from the Idol-Head, then meets Diabolu's apprentice. J'onn learns that the wizard Diabolu has created the Idol-Head to gain revenge upon the Babylonians.
J'onn continues his fight with the creature and eventually appears to lose. Diabolu summons the beast and magically locks him inside the Idol-Head just before dying. Back in the present Zook watches as the creature reemerges from the Idol-Head. It then changes into J'onn who had used his shape-shifting power to impersonate the creature. J'onn then smashes the Idol-Head preventing it from ever menacing the world again.
