Synopsis:
A sniper ambushes Easy Company killing a member named Willie. Rock consoles Willie's friend Midge by telling him that "soldiers never die." Midge is still distraught when Easy runs across a squad of Germans in a captured tank. Rock destroys the tank for Al March, a member of Easy who died in North Africa.

Rock and Easy later encounter a machine gun nest hidden in a haystack. Rock takes them out. During the fight, he remembers Arch Yancey a soldier who died at Omaha Beach. When Easy falls under fire from a patrol boat, Rock tries to take it out for Willie. He is wounded and can't toss his grenade. Midge finishes the job, finally understanding that by remembering his buddy, he can continue on.
