Synopsis:
Jimmy Brent, a classmate of Dick Grayson, is upset about the scheduled execution of his father for murder. He is angry that Batman refuses to believe his father is innocent. Robin takes the case, learning that Mr. Brent was convicted of killing his business partner, Mr. Denton.

Robin visits the office where he finds a third partner, Mr. Walsh engaging in a smuggling operation. Robin is caught by the crooks. By the time he escapes, Brent's execution time has passed.

Batman arrives to help Robin finish the capture of Walsh. Batman then explains that Brent wasn't executed. His arrest was a pretense to expose Walsh as the real killer. Batman didn't tell Robin because he was worried that the Boy Wonder might tip off Jimmy and expose the plan.
