Martin intentionally publishes a bogus story about a ball park being sold. Then he asks Superman to help out to complete the sale. Superman agrees to help which allows Martin's friend to buy the ball park land. Soapy and his friend think they will make a huge profit because there is a uranium deposit on the land. However, Superman has tricked them by removing the uranium prior to the sale, leaving the swindlers with worthless land.
