Synopsis:
Luthor discovers a space ship hidden inside a meteor that has crashed on Earth. Inside the ship are two aliens who were former rulers of their world. They strike an alliance with Luthor, then use their technology to make the entire world lethargic and drowsy. Luthor's men are immune to the effects and put in key positions to take over the world.
Superman discovers that only he and two other people are immune to the wave of lethargy that is plaguing the world. He discovers that the two people possess fragments from the meteor. After tracing the meteor to Luthor and the aliens, Superman discovers the source of the problem.
Luthor is able to hold off Superman by threatening to amplify the power of the lethargic effects. If he does, people will be too tired to breathe, and they will die. To solve the problem, Superman smashes the meteor into a fine dust. He then spreads it in the air where it is inhaled by everyone. Once the meteor dust is inhaled, the people are immune to the effects of the alien device. Superman then goes after the aliens who destroy themselves rather than be apprehended.
