Synopsis:
Aquaman arrives at a boys' camp where he is scheduled to receive a medal for capturing a gang of smugglers. He meets young Johnny Hartley who doesn't know how to swim. Aquaman teaches Johnny, who will then display what he learned to the other campers.

When it comes time to show his skills, Johnny fails and nearly drowns. Aquaman is surprised and is forced to rescue the boy. The Sea King's reputation is damaged, until he spots Johnny swimming covertly at night.

Aquaman discovers that Johnny's father is a sea captain. Aquaman prevented the captain from finding an island because he knew there were smugglers in the area, and he needed to capture them. He did not tell the captain, so Johnny believe Aquaman had wronged his father. So despite knowing how to swim, Johnny pretended not to in order to humiliate Aquaman.

Aquaman makes things right with Johnny's father, then arranges for Johnny to save him and prove that he is a strong swimmer.
