Synopsis:
After an extended period holding the line, Easy Company is finally relieved. Before they can return to base, their replacements fall victim to a heavy barrage of enemy fire. With their relief wiped out, Easy is forced to return and hold the line.
They find one survivor from the relief unit. Rock takes the soldier into Easy, but the youngster's nerve has been lost when his unit went down. Rock tries to tell him that "nothing is lost in war", but the young soldier won't listen and begins calling himself Lost.
Rock tries to teach the soldier that nothing is lost by firing the guns of a downed bomber to destroy two enemy fighters. When a tank crew is killed, Rock fires their gun to fight off an enemy attack. Finally Lost and Rock take over for a dead machine gunner. Lost is captured when the enemy overruns the position. Rock and Easy stage a rescue and succeed in saving Lost. The rescue finally succeeds in changing the youngster's attitude.
