Synopsis:
Grodd, in his human guise of William Dawson, is released from prison. His body transforms into that of a gorilla. He returns to Gorilla City in Africa to reach his secret laboratory.
In Gorilla City, Grodd falls in love with a female gorilla, Boka. Boka is due to marry Grodd’s enemy Solovar. Using a special machine in his laboratory, Grodd bathes himself in neo-magnetic radiation. The radiation causes everyone near him to feel that he is wonderful. He makes Boka his queen and rules Gorilla City.
Bored with his easy success, Grodd heads to the human world. The radiation has an identical effect on humans, including the Flash. Grodd is so impressive that he intends to run for governor.
Flash discovers that the effect of the radiation only lasts within 100 miles. He is careful to stay out of range for fear of coming under Grodd’s control. Eventually, Flash learns that solar flares affect the radiation. Using his body to give off certain vibrations, Flash is able to counteract Grodd’s ability. He captures Grodd, and the citizens are returned to normal.
