Synopsis:
Wanda Wilson tells Terry Sloane that she found a handbag full of money and jewels earlier in the day. Another man found the bag with her and wanted to split it with her, but she honestly returned it to the man who found it. Terry suspects a racket, so he returns to the scene. He witnesses the men staging the stunt again. As Mr. Terrific he tries to stop them, but he is knocked unconscious.

When he recovers, Mr. Terrific approaches the newspaper to fake a story that he is dead. Believing Mr. Terrific is out of the way, the crooks try their scam again, hoping to get a dishonest person to hand over cash for the jewels. Mr. Terrific intercepts them again. This time he stops their racket and turns the crooks over to police.
