Synopsis:
Barry Allen’s childhood girlfriend, Daphne Dean, is in town. She is no longer in love with Barry, but she has a crush on the Flash. She is able to get in touch with him through Barry, who is actually the Flash’s alter ego.

Flash tries to convince Daphne that he does not really have powers, and his fame is just publicity hype. While trying to persuade Daphne, Flash spots the "Cranky" Dilger Gang. He creates distractions so that Daphne doesn’t see him using his speed powers to apprehend the gang. When he returns to Daphne, she has decided to leave town.

Barry Allen later learns that she saw Flash’s reflection in a window and realized what he was trying to do.
