Synopsis:
While touring a museum with Jean Loring, Ray Palmer witnesses a robbery by the costumed criminal, the Thinker. Ray tries to stop the robbery as the Atom, but his foe escapes through a dimensional warp to Earth-2 to which he is a native.
On Earth-2, former criminal Artie Perkins awakens to find stolen property in his house. The property is the Earth-2 equivilent to that stolen by the Thinker. Since Artie doesn't know how the property was stolen, he telephones the Atom of Earth-2, Al Pratt.
Atom discovers that Artie is put into a trance-like state and forced to steal when the Thinker is active on Earth-1. The Atom of Earth-1 builds his own dimensional vibrator to follow the Thinker to Earth-2. When the Thinker returns, both Atoms confront him.
Though they are initially defeated, the Earth-1 Atom escapes an electrified cage. He frees his counterpart from the cage, then they track down the Thinker again. The Earth-2 Atom distracts the crook, while the Earth-1 Atom disables his helmet. When the Thinker is defeated, Artie is released from his involuntary compulsions to steal.
