Synopsis:
The Blackhawks regroup after completing an aerial photography mission. Chuck returns wearing an iron mask which he claims is rigged to explode if it is removed. He was apparently captured during his mission, but has escaped.
The Blackhawks begin returning to Blackhawk Island to help their comrade remove the mask, when a call for help diverts them. The natives on the island of Dorando are being attacked. The Blackhawks try and fend off the attack, but Chuck’s mask causes problems.
Blackhawk orders him returned to Blackhawk Island, where he signals a bombing run on the Blackhawks headquarters. It is not really Chuck in the mask, but a man named Waldo. He is picked up by his friends and taken to their base where Chuck is held captive.
When the mask is removed, Blackhawk is shown to be the man. He stumbled onto the villains plan and arranged to stop them. The other Blackhawks arrive and free Chuck. Blackhawk Island is safe because Blackhawk set up a decoy island that got bombed.
