Synopsis:
The Blackhawks stop a train robbery which matches the M.O. of "Trains" Tourneau. When the crook is apprehended though, he doesn't look like Tourneau. Blackhawk still believes the man is Tourneau and another earlier robbery to be the work of Willie Strang, though the thief looked different.
The Blackhawks then follow the perpetrators of another robbery, which matches the M.O. of B.T. Thornton. The Blackhawks are led to a secret laboratory, where they witness Thornton being given a new face and body by a criminal known as the Molder.
After Thornton is changed into a duplicate of Blackhawk, the team strikes. They force the crook back into the transformation machine, but when Thornton emerges he has become a monster. Blackhawk calls a temporary truce with the Molder in order to stop the beast. Molder tries to pull a double-cross, but the Blackhawks avoid being caught. Thornton is changed back to normal, but the Molder escapes.
