Synopsis:
The Gargoyle, an old foe of Mark Merlin, breaks into Mark's mansion and uses the lantern of Imhotep. The lantern transports Mark to another dimension inhabited by immortal Egyptians. Mark learns that he is trapped permanently in the world of Ra where he befriends the scientist Kranak and his daughter Rimah.
Rimah is kidnapped by a renegade named Gamal. To rescue her, Mark uses his cat charm to transfer his mind into a statue of the cat god. The statue holds a jewel resembling the sun of Ra. Mark drops the jewel, then returns to his own body. The jewel grants Mark mind-over-matter powers that enable him to rescue Rimah and defeat Gamal.
Kranak then offers to return Mark to Earth. Unfortunately he can't return in his own body. His new mental powers will allow him to inhabit the body of Prince Ra-Man, a reported descendent of Ra. Mark agrees to transfer his memories to Ra-Man's lifeless body. Once he is back on Earth as Prince Ra-Man, he rescues Elsa from the Gargoyle. Then he informs Elsa that Mark is dead and will not return.
